A comprehensive package

The Playmaker solution is a comprehensive, detailed, digital, geological/geophysical interpretation package. Components include:

• basement structure
• crustal interpretation
• geological interpretation,
• migration pathways
• gravity residuals to support salt modeling.

The PlayMaker input database and interpretation package is licensed by protraction area (e.g. Walker Ridge or Alaminos Canyon). For the area selected, you get ten maps with a detailed interpretation overlay. The package also includes written text discussing assumptions, constraints and conclusions. A series of “mini-maps” (11"x17") are also included for quick reference.

The importance of deep structure

According to MMS and Offshore Magazine, over 65% of reported oil and gas reserves in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico are related to basement structural highs or associated faults. This strongly suggests the importance of understanding basement structure. The PlayMaker solution provides comprehensive interpretation of basement structure.

Easy to install, easy to use

The entire suite is delivered in load-and-go seismic-workstation-formatted horizon files. The PlayMaker solution is fully interactive and can be immediately integrated with any proprietary client database.

Input data

The package is based on the aeromagnetic, gravity and bathymetric sets from the Fugro Companies. They include

• more than 360,000 line miles of high-resolution aeromagnetic data from Fugro Airborne Surveys (FAS)
• 200,000 miles of high-resolution marine gravity and bathymetry data from Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services
